Original Calvin Hobart site, Rushville, Illinois
As part of the congregation's bicentennial commemoration, members gathered at the original Hobart site — the place where Methodist worship in Rushville began in 1823.
Presentations and book conversations draw directly on the chapters of Bicentennial Anniversary of the First United Methodist Church — the meeting places, the ministers, the music, and the bicentennial itself.
